The design differs from the standard shadeports in as much that only 2 posts are used not the normal 4. These 2 posts can be positioned along any side of the shadeports, which means that access to the shadeport from the opposite side is not restricted at all by posts. This design retains the modularity and shadeports can still be joined both side-by-side and back-to-back, thereby making this type of installation very cost effective. This design is also popular with large private and public parking areas through which a large and continuous flow of vehicular traffic occurs. This design is also architecturally pleasing and offers an acceptable different format from the standard design.
This design is the most economical method of providing shaded cover. The shadenet top- structure is installed on 4 posts, located at the 4 corners. The Shadeports can be manufactured to fit existing or proposed parking bays. The clearance height of the shadeports varies from country to country and can be specified by the customer according to the local requirements.
The shadeports are modular in design and can be joined side-by-side and / or back-to-back with additional shadeports in order to cover large areas or to create a row of parking bays. This design is also suitable to be used as shaded cover for swimming pools and children’s playgrounds, outdoor restaurants, etc. The posts are either set in concrete foundations into the ground, or can be bolted onto a concrete surface by using a base-plated post and chemical anchor bolts. This enables the installation of shadeports on building rooftops or tiled areas.
